Taxes
I may occasionally write about tax issues for traders. I have no training in tax law (or any kind of law) and nothing I write is to be construed as tax, financial, or legal advice. I recommend The Tax Guide for Traders by Robert Green. After purchasing the book I retained Green's firm to prepare my taxes and they currently prepare my taxes. I receive no money from the firm for promoting them and the only money I receive from recommending them comes from my Amazon.com affiliate link.
Recommendations and Affiliates
I only recommend products or services that I believe are useful. For some products or services I recommend I am an affiliate and receive a percentage commission based on product or service sales from those clicking my affiliate links. Every product for which I am an affiliate I am also a happy customer and I am an affiliate because I like the service or product. I used to be an affiliate of InvestorsUnderground (IU) stock chat, for which I received 50% of a new subscriber's first month's payment and 25% on an ongoing basis. I no longer recommend InvestorsUnderground and I have not received any affiliate payments from them since December 2010. BRKS – broke out after hours to new high of 8.80 in the past year with a little resistance at 9.10ish and 11.
XJT – broke out to a new two year high of 4.21 with resistance at 4.90 and 6.50

ROYL showing more strength this morning, the break of 3.50 looks the best to me.

If I just had a higher pain threshold…
MNKD: shorted @ 6.22ish – covered @ 6.60ish — of course that was all the market needed to begin dropping it….now in the mid 5′s….
Tried to hedge it on my other account but was caught in the dang PDT rule and they would not let me open a posiiton. Wish you only needed 25K per broker…not per account. If I had been able to hedge long would have felt comfortable holding this one for a week or so, but at this level of upside just could not take the chance.
Dumb rule.

if you had hedged you would have removed both your downside and your upside. Only point of doing that is with a pump & dump when the dump isn’t on but you want to hold on to shares you found short.

OPTT is squeezing me. Shorted at 8.18. Still holding to see how next week goes. Will probably cover if there is still strength. Its so hard to find out when these things are actually dumped or soldoff. You never really know where the peak of these stocks are or eventually go.

I made 600$ shorting PIR and CHIO last week though. PIR just played beautifully for me.
