Either there is nothing ideal out there or I’m just in a funk, but I am not excited by many stocks heading into tomorrow. Yeah, there’s stuff on the move like YRCW, but nothing with a clean chart that would be easy enough for me to make money on.
HDUP did today what most stocks pumped prior to the market open do; it gapped and crapped. Pennystockchaser sucks, they just got lucky last week with MEVT and AWSL and AVOE.
NYER sold a subsidiary for cash and I think is liquidating. I wouldn’t short it.
ALIF has a nice breakout but I don’t play OTC BB stocks unless they are pump & dumps.
SKTO is a pump & dump that started to dump, so ALFSS! I do prefer p&d stocks with longer track records, though.

I’m learning real quick that earnings plays are very hard to dissect, by the time we get the info it’s to late. Only case being if you spot one the momos have got behind and you ride it out with them, of course you have to be quicker than them.

Funny stuff. They have $248 in the bank. Only a $25m mkt cap though.

Damn, when I read this I thought you had taken the 1,000 shares I was attempting to short… but looks like my order got filled as well @ 0.91. Guess IB had some extra…
Hopefully they use no more than that $248 to try and re-pump the stock!

look up chart of MNCS from a few years ago … this could go a lot further and it is likely to be unpredictable when it falls.
BTW, covered SKTO @ .84 right before the big drop … oops.

huh, don’t feel to bad about EVVV, I messed up a good short after it broke the HOD.
1st mistake was not riding it up, second was getting out to early on the short. -180 on 500 shares.
I had a meeting to go to so I had outside interferences, but that’s still no excuse as it was a great setup, with shares to short which is hard for me to find with AMTD sometimes.

Anyone have have any perspective on how often ToS has borrowed shares that IB does not?
I am thinking about making a small deposit on ToS, both to hedge myself when I am getting in early on an issue that is hard to borrow on IB and to get short shares of issues that IB doesn’t have.

IB usually has better borrows. Only maybe 5 times a month does TOS have a borrow when IB doesn’t IMHO

That’s exactly right imo Preston.
I’d avoid earnings plays unless you try to swing trade with the trend ( playing off the PEAD effect basically).
Wall streeters have access to the earnings before you and I do. They theoretically shouldn’t but they do. It’s always been that way as long as I can remember. No advantage for us there.

Magic.
Or because yesterday was its first down day, which indicated the pump had turned to dump.

You mentioned that PSC recieved 550,000 shares to pump HDUP… just wondering how you know that number just cause that means they will have to dump a total of 550,000 shares.
