Right at the market close I bought pumped stock Total Nutraceutical Solutions (OTC: TNUS) at its high of the day, $0.95. It was already up 82% on the day. While I missed playing it earlier in the day I heard credible rumors that it was going to be the BestDamnPennyStocks (BDPS) pump tonight and I liked the way it was closing strong, so I bought 2,000 shares right after the market close (I made this trade as I was recording my daily trade recap, so you can see me make the trade).

Tonight I received the expected pump email on TNUS from BDPS:
My Huge 2009 Loss Eraser is TNUSTNUS is a fairly new issue which means it has not been trading long as a publicly traded company.New issues always fly once the spark ignites but you got to watch close for the technicals and time it perfect!
TNUS has been on my radar for 3 months and I have been waiting and watching close for these technicals to occur
Those technicals confirmed today and TNUS is about to ignite and should start running like wild fire starting tomorrow!
Notice The TNUS Chart the flat line with very little volume due to TNUS being brand new without a soul knowing about the stock.
Now notice the past four days of positive money flow and volume.
Today it really broke out and should keep running for another 4-5 days huge!
TNUS was on the #1 gainers list in the whole market today and I believe it could be on there tomorrow as well! This right here is the beginning of TNUS igniting because the street is finding out and the company is ready to get the word out via various Investor Relation Programs.New issue stocks are usually super low risk/ Super high reward stocks!
I Have two more emails coming tonight on TNUS with shocking info you can’t miss.

Looking for my watchlist? This is it … TNUS is going to be interesting, so I’ll ignore all the lesser stocks. One thing I have learned from the way I missed an easy trade on GGC is that I should ignore lesser plays whenever there is something truly great to watch.
Disclosure: Long 2000 shares of TNUS. I have a disclosure policy and you can find all my disclaimers there as well; those disclosure & disclaimers are incorporated by reference into this post.

MMA days … wow I now know who to call if I ever get in trouble!
My fill was actually after 4pm EST, didn’t know I was going to do it until I did it, so no easy way to follow me. But after its run-up early in the day you should have been watching it.

I was watching no doubt, but I do know my experience level and I am comfortable with it. I am paying attention but as you always say be careful trading these long.
My time will come.

Did you get 1.05 for it, or higher.

Hello,
GLTA tomorrow. I have been spending the past days in LVS pain (I bought it while in the Sykes class in Vegas – great class – fun time – bad hangover! — that is how I got stuck in the LVS…) — was down about 10k coming into today. Today got back about 6K of that….hoping for a good trading day tomorrow to be back at even. May play the TNUS first thing. — thanks Reaper

These pumps are always tough to play on the way up … anyone who tries playing it long should be very, very quick. Also, it would be especially dangerous to play if it gaps up a lot.

Couple of weeks back bestdamnpennystocks pumped ADEC, I was in at $1.1 with 1k and it never went up after that. I am still stuck with ADEC
I am new in trading though.

No you aren’t. You simply refuse to take a loss, just like MostlyLucid with LVS. At least his stock was a real company, while yours is a pumped & dumped piece of crap.

Mins, if you ever listen to one thing anybody tells you, do not trade again until you have read this entire site from front to back. After that go to Tim Sykes and read his, the entire thing would take some time because I’m working on that, but you get the picture.

It wasn’t a double-cross. He would obviously prefer positive reviews, but I think he’ll be happier in the end because I’ll direct his customers to his better DVDs and they will be more satisfied.

Anyone find shares of this to short? If so, which broker?

I think there is a lesson to be learned about my trade in CTS. I held for three days waiting for it to crack below 9 and stay below. After it broke I sold at 8.97ish and didn’t follow thru with my plan, it fell down to the 8.40′s shortly there after.
I trade much smaller positions so it pays to hold a little longer on some trades, especially when they never get close to the red, once I buy larger positions I can sell quicker with the same profit hopefully.
After these runups the pickings for good shorts next week are going to be very good following a certain famous persons strategy.

-1 duck, -14,578 points. When you close out a short position you “cover” or “buy to cover”. Continuing to state things in a way that confuses everyone will result in severe repercussions.

Preston I have no clue what you are talking about with CTS … if you shorted and held for three days (as you said), you would have lost money. -99995 more points.

Oops, sorry about the wording, I did buy to cover today for a 180.00 gain. I went in Wed @ 9.61, I don’t see how you think I would lose money.
Maybe I should have said 2.5 days, or covered on the 3rd day.
#31 by Reaper on October 30, 2009 - 12:45 pm

I would call that holding for 2 days … but I guess that is semantics. It is usually easiest to just say which day you shorted.
